Rich from the Brokerage Shop just called and said "we can help you sell your boat alot quicker and alot easier."

I said no thanks, I'm in no rush.

They must be scanning the classifieds here since this is the only place it's listed.

Is this common?

Guy was reasonable and didn't nag when he surmised I wasn't interested so I'm not bashing, just curious.

they did that to me to, have had them call me several times saying they had a lead, never any return calls, but very nice people, jim

They didn't call me.

I have had a lot of other brokers try and list my boat and claim they have buyers. I tell them if they have a buyer, bring me a contract and I will pay them a reasonable commission, but won't give them the listing. That normally shuts them up.

They didn't call me, but I did call them to list my boat. They did a great job and sold it in about three months for what I was asking. Some people here had negative things to say when their name came up some time ago, but I was perfectly satisfied.

Why would he have a buyer?

OSO is the only place it's listed. I wouldn't think a buyer would call them on a boat listed some place else with the my name and number in the ad.

some people prefer a broker to get all the F&I done because they don't know how or are just to lazy to do so.
