First of all, I would like to recognize and thank John Haggin and all the AMF Racing teams who traveled long distances to participate in this historical Long Beach Offshore “Rum Run” race. I also would like to thank all the Racers and Ski Racers for their participation at this very successful event and look forward to seeing them next year. We are excited to continue this event annually and the City is already planning this event for July 2007. We are looking into expanding this event into a weeklong Power fest with closed course racing and/or Speed Runs. Our goal is to have the event broadcasted live in the pits. And last, a special thanks to the patrol boats, Mitch Deering at Deering Industries, Dr. Munroe and Heny Hampshire for acting as our course boats.
