Nice!!! Did you go with shorties?

I've been running BMax HT's behind 720hp/760 ftlb blower motors in my 36' Apache since April.

Very happy so far!

Cool!

This time last year I already blew an IMCO Extreme SC, the second one blew Labor day weekend. :(

I'm running the boat harder and have more hours than last year. For the 1 MPH I lost on top end it was well worth it! And with a warranty to boot!

Docman,

I put bushings in the steering plate when I put mine together so the aluminum wouldn't wear out, just a thought.

I know the feeling. I blew my Imco Extreme SC on fourth of July weekend. 30 hours of easy use behind 850hp.

What is the warrenty with the BMAx drive?? How much HP and Torque will they hold?

Will the Bmax bolt directly to my Imco Box? And Is the steering the same also? What is the price of the Bmax drive? Thanks for the help...

Here is my current set up...

I don't see why it wouldn't bolt up to the box. The only concern I can see is the steering rams. The upper on the BMax is wider so it can house the 5" upper gears (XR's are 3"). I would just give Dean a call and tell him what ya have and send him some pics.

Sorry to hear about the drive. :(

Frank

Bmax will bolt right up but you have too do something with your steering rams.I would call Dean at the bravo shop and check with him on install on single engine and price.239-454-6593

Hey Strip,

Did you cut the skegs down any? Got my b-maxes monday. Missing a couple of bolts, dean is overnighting them for me. Looks like a good bit of polishing on the lowers, I have enough of that under the hatch, don't need anymore. Salt water will eat the polishing job up quickly. Will be in the water tomorrow, finally :evilb: Just finished installing strainers and flushes. What a pain in the a__!!

Rob, I was thinking the same thing. It doesn't have the lower cavitation plate like mine do.

It looks like a Imco plate. Also almost like the back of the new merc's Ace drive???

Also the bottom has some longer looking studds???

When I first saw the pic I thought it was a sport master lower or a shortie because of the cav. plate.

Must be a new design? Mine looks like this one.

10 Definetely seems high... A number of years ago I worked on a 42 tripple engine fountain. We switched from 1.50 to 1.36 and lost about 6-8 mph.

It seems every boat is differnet. :(

Were you blowing up the XR's before?
