Any major troubles? Blisters, drivetrain? I saw one in CT with Rolls Royce diesels 650 HP a side (cant afford it) but how are the cat and other diesel packages? Any structural issues? Just general gotchya's.....
Thanks,
Ken

Wow - not often you run across the dreaded twentyfourfootitis. Not nearly as common as twofootitis.

There are a couple late model 340's and an early 90's 500 in the classifieds: all look clean

The 46 EC (as well as some 39 EC hulls) suffered from structural issues surrounding the segmentation of the stringers at the cabin bulkhead. This can cause hull cracking, so have a surveyor that is well acquainted with the 46 Sea Ray look closely at any of them you may be looking at.
There was a special-order 46 with RR diesels here in west Michigan that was owned by Tommy Beckering. Beautiful boat at the time but wasn't much faster than an 8V-92 powered 46 owned by his brother, Jerry Beckering, once Jerry burned off the top quarter of his fuel tanks. The RR-powered boat was difficult to get engine work done on.
