Re: Beautiful Boat

Yes, it is my boat. It did not meet the reserve but had some healthy bidding.

When I put it on e-bay I didn't think it would sell, but thought that any publicity is good publicity.

I really would love to sell this boat due to other priorities at this point.

All reasonable offers will be considered.

PS: It is in perfect shape. :D

I have always loved the looks of your magnum !
Please take a friendly word of advise ( or anyone reading this for that matter. ) & beware of one of your bidders: gtrcrxllyky
He may try to contact you say he wants to buy it straight out
if he hasn't already. He is full of crap to say the least !!!
He hung me out on my Pantera. I know I am not the only one on the board Mr. Shaefer has done that to. There is an entire thread about him on the Pantera board. I am not the type to post things bashing people , I just think people need to be warned of complete LIARS !!! Ben If you are reading this
I am still waiting on that check you told me you are sending.

Mark,
Thanks, and I am very happy to see you on the board again.
I hope all is going well with your recovery.

littledcsrodshop,
Thanks for the heads-up. He was the only bidder that did not contact me.

I am still amazed at people spending 20-25K on a boat that needs restoration work, and for just a bit more I am selling a boat that needs nothing but sun tan oil.

When someone restores their own they know what they have in the end. Taking sellers word on their boat is tough for the experienced buyer, especially when is comes to moving parts. Everyone's used boat is perfect... It's like all inmates are innocent.

Re: Beautiful Boat

I agree for the most part, but when I have bought boats I have always know what shape they were in because I did my due diligence.

I would rather sell to an informed buyer that had the boat surveyed, leak down etc. The cosmetics speak for themselves.

Also, more often than not, I have seen people buy boats that were less thinking they could restore it for a certain amount.

In the end, they wind up scrimping and the boat turns out like s**t.

This is not the case with regard to my boat. It was restored without any budget constaints, by people that I know to have excellent reputations in the marine industry.

The only reason that this boat has not sold is due to the fact that most people out West want to fit as many people as they can on board and have all the comforts of home. Usually this means bow riders with quarter cabins or deck boats.

Very few people out West actually know what a Magnum is.

Buyers back East, are afraid to take the chance to fly out West when there is a vast amount of inventory East of the Rockies. Add up that, and the cost of trailering it back makes it a tough sell.

I guess you could say that, many have. :D
But as far as boats are concerned I really have never viewed them as so complicated.
Expensive yes, complicated no.
Each and every boat that I have bought, I knew what I was gettting myself into.

It's not complicated at all and we all know what we're getting ourselves into... It's a boat...
