I run 300 promax's, they have been great motors. The factory limiters other than the first year motors are 6300. I have 330 hours on mine on a 28 Skater. The powerheads have been excellent, the lowers on the other hand have had issues. I would really go after the 300x, all will be used or leftover motors as said before the 300x were done in 05. My motors do burn quite a bit of fuel and oil. I have also heard the 300x's are more efficient. The 300 Opti's would be your best choice for your application. I also believe they are 1k cheaper than the 300x's were the last year of production.
