Old Sac Bridge to Bridge
Is anyone going to the Bridge to Bridge run this weekend in Sacramento?
I just moved to Sac last year and was thinking of going. I don't want to participate in the radar run, but might want to be out on the boat wathcing
Does anyone have any details or plans for this event this weekend?

Steve, The bridge event is pretty cool. The best viewing is from the dock or places like the Rio Cafe, you really don't see much from your boat during the event which runs 10 am. to 5pm on sat. and 10 to 3 on sunday. The river is shut down during that time with only short windows of time that old town will be open to boat traffic. I will have my Jag in the event but I am not a real player compared to some of the speed that will be shown this weekend. Stop by the dock and look for a #1 35' Jaguar Marine cat and say hello. I will be looking forward to meeting you, There is always room for another boat when we make a delta run. I will be launching around noon on friday and should be around the old town docks before 5p.m. The Embassy bar opens from 5 to 7 for happy hour. Doug

Steve,
It's a great event. I have been a spectator for the past three years (still waiting to get my boat). It is a great day in Old Town Sac. Going down to the docks is a must.
Here is a few pictures from last year. Enjoy and hope to see you there!!!!

Re: Old Sac Bridge to Bridge
Thanks for the info. I was pretty sure I should not take the boat out. My boat is definately not fast enough to compete, espically with only one drive as it is now.
Doug, I'll meet up with you. I ususally hang out at O'MAlly's in out town or go to concert in the park on Fridays. It's kind of a hole in the wall, but it's nice when you know people. I'll try to stop by Embassy and grab a drink too.
