I think the cig is the best riding boat out there. I have a 38 tg 2006 i love the ride. If you are looking for cabin amenities then the cig is not for you. I did test ride other boats and nothing really compares in ride or details, they are very soild riding boats.

Looking strictly at overall rough water (ocean, not rivers) performance at speeds over 85, I would put the 39 Sutphen up against any of the boats on the list. Comparing like power and comparing speed, rough water handling and ride comfort. Cig would probably have the best ride but the speed takes a hit. Problem is there aren't many 39 Sutphens even around. Now, if you are after the bling...different deal

I agree the details in rigging in a Cigarette are amazing. they turn it into art work.

Are you crazy in the head? What exactly did you not like? Say what you will about cigs but to say you're not impressed with the ride!? What cig did you ride in? I'll agree that straight bottom cigs aren't that great in flat water. Stepped or no steps, if it was anything over 4 footers, the only two boats I'd want to be in is an Apache or a cig.

Lower end budget under $70K and don't care about amenities I would be looking at these:

http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-11285.html

http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-7483.html

http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-9389.html

If Amenities and same budget as above:

or entertain the idea of a Fountain!!!!
