New Jersey directions?

Hello I don't like the GW Bridge, so I want to go over the Tappazen to the GS and I want to hook up with the Turnpike. We are going down to Sesame park Early Friday. I live in CT.

Where do I go from the GS to the NJT?

Thanks

Just before the Raritan Bridge, it is very well marked but I dont recall the exit number off the top of my head. It will put you on the turnpike at exit 11.

I'm not sure where Sesame Park is but the Parkway and the NJTP intersect around Woodbridge. Exit 130something.

Thanks All,

GOTIME the boat is not running all that well, I have some problems (Altenator, Shift Boot) right now I think its the old fuel.

If I use mapquest it wants to send me over the GW, which I hate. I will be sure to say Hi to Elmo and all his friends for you.

Take the Merrit Parkway to the Tappan Zee. Then follow 278 for 5 miles and get onto the Parkway south.

Or go down the Palisades parkway and then get on the NJ Turnpike.

Don't use the Mapquest directions, just print out the maps.

if you are towing a boat you can't go down the parkway. take the tap n zee to 17 south which will take you to the turnpike. I live in calif and still know that.

Re: New Jersey directions?

The GSP is your best option IMO.
If you want to mapquest or other for directions use zip 07458 as your start.
That is Saddle River which sits at the top of the Parkway. Maybe that will help.

I don't think so

Re: New Jersey directions?

Well I dont think he is taking the boat to Sesame Place, the kiddy pool isnt deep enough.
New York parkways are restricted form any trailering.
Trailers are permitted on the GSP in Jersey however it is a pretty narrow road. A big cat would be a problem squeezing through the toll booths.
They also might give you a problem if it is a for hire situation.

We tow up and down the GSP regularly all summer.

Just find out what exit your destination is off the Turnpike :D

Re: New Jersey directions?

You can go a lot of ways.

GSP to exit 129 for NJTP (signs say TP). TP S to exit 7A.
I-195 west to Rt 29 North to I-95 south to exit 46A which is Rt1 North. 1st exit is Oxford Valley Road. That exit, turn right follow to sesame place.
This way takes you through Trenton, but its 4 lane all the way. I can get from Trenton to Rt 1 South bridge,(this is the easiest way) but I can't tell you how to do it. Its been a while :drink:

Other way is stay on NJ TP till exit 6 which is TP extension that will run you into Pa turnpike. Follow to exit in Pa for Rt 1 north (can't remember exit number). Take Rt 1 north to Oxford valley Road exit.
