on the contrary, sounds to me like the 496HOs are the perfect package for you. they'll provide you with a perfect compromise between your wife's 70 and your 80+ and in terms of performance/cost tradeoff, they are pretty much unbeatable on a 30' to 35' boat IMO.
beyond that, you're in merc racing territory and everything gets a LOT more expensive for relatively little gain. if they're still under warranty, i would wait until that is up and then if you're really unhappy about the performance, i'd whipple them or something. you'll probably gain more in performance and get a better deal in the L/R than going to HP500s from the outstart. 'cause for 70K, don't know if you'll get your hands on anything more powerful than 496s that doesn't need immediate attention. just my $0.02...

That's a great lookin' PP. Looks in great shape!
I'm not sure about the Lavender cockpit and cabin though... Can you bleach vinyl to White?? without destroying the vinyl itself?
Would look SO much better with a white interior, maybe accents of the dark purple/black from the graphics.
Looks like a great boat, and the price seems pretty good to me.

Thanks for all the input! I didn't realize they were HO's until after I posted this! thus, it's got EFI and turnkey reliability that the wife demands and should run close to the 80 mark! but I'm still in a position where I need my boat gone in order to make this happen!!! Anybody want a nice Suinsation??? I've been drooling over Powerplays for a long time and am in the position to do so!!! Indy I'll be contacting you this coming week, Donz can you provide me with an Email adress
