Aluminum Trailers

What is the deal with the prices of these Aluminum trailers. 17,200.00 for a Myco. Yes it has a trailer guard, spare tire and tool box, no different than my 04 at 12K. Last year it was just under 14K. I swear I'm back in Katrina pricing, I find this ridicules, what does everyone else think going up 3200. in less than a year. Something is going on. That's 23% INCREASE. Jeff

The price of raw aluminum has soared in the last 12-18 months, might have something to do with it. My advice, start recycling all those beer cans! :drink:

I bought a 15,000 lb trailer from these folks last year. Extra mid and front bunks, spare tire and rim with a spare hub, led lights, removeable drive guard, electric over hydraulic kodiak disc brakes and radial tires. It was $8300 then (5/05) out the door. Not sure about what it would cost now, but give them a call. They were really good people to deal with and the are in Panama City. Allison Trailers buys the trailers from these folks and puts their stickers on them.

....and just to add a little something here. I'm well aware that my trailer is no Myco and isn't as good as a Myco......but it tows very well and is certainly more than half as good as a Myco. :D :drink:

I'm sure it is more than half as good as a Myco. I understand now...It would be like saying your Cigarette is half as good as my Nortech, point well taken. :evilb: :D

Serously, I have heard good things about these guys, a few members have them and appear to be pleased. I just have had good luck with Myco, have a cradle as well, with the additional length, both fit like a glove. Just shocked at the price increase over a 1 year period.

Jeff,
If you are doing aluminum, don't think of anyone else but Myco. They are the only one's I know of that build it heavy enough that it supports the boat and does not have excess flex to it. I had a 42 Sonic on an aluminum I beam type trailer and the tongue of the trailer would bounce up/down when I climbed on the back of the boat using the swim ladder. The Myco under the NorTech is no comparision and the NorTech weighs more too.

Re: Aluminum Trailers

Myco is the best....but they are pricey. I priced out a 33' aluminum Myco about 2 months ago and it was over $11K. This didn't have all the extra's like my other Myco trailer did.

I did purchase an aluminum Myco 2 yrs ago for my 33 PP and it had all the extra's, price was $11,600.
