Race day in St Clair is coming upon us.

I have the green flag from my wife to allow me to attend...with "conditions" of course....

This past Sunday I had to take her to the Mohegan Sun in Ct.
Gambling is her thing....

I told her to pack for a week because after that, we were on the road with no paticular place to go...

Mohegan came, she made her deposit, and the next morning rather than head home we headed East.

We decided to take in Newport R.I. as our 1st stop after leaving the hotel.
With that in mind, I knew I was in close range to the Outerlimits Plant.
Prior to checking out, I shot down to the lobby and printed out all the maps I needed to get me to Outerlimits and oh yeah, a map for Newport as well...
If you have never been to Newport, it is worth the trip! Awesome place! I wish we took more time but I had another place I wanted to be at before closing time...

Being 30 minutes away, I made a call to Outerlimits while the wife was shopping with the kids...

The call came back from OL's receptionist telling me I was more than welcome to come by... At that point I had to break the news to the family that we had a slight detour to make. They all just shook their heads at me saying, "You and boats! It never stops for one second!"

It was a great stop for sure! The family was very patient, while I was given yet another tour of the Outerlimits Plant.
When I walked through the door this time, all I saw was the Future of Powerboats before my eyes. There is so much going on there that even my head was spinning! Out of courtesy for their future projects in the making, the cameras stayed in the truck.
I can tell you this though, the lines, the styling, the engineering, the aero dynamics, that I saw on these boats, you will be very impressed. The Vee and the Cat!
I kept my stay short. We needed to get back on our journey.

With Mike's hospitality, this stop turned out to be an important one. We told him what we were up to and with him knowing the area we were headed in, he gave us much needed information that helped us out quite a bit.
In fact with the matter of a little help from a customer of his at Pier 37 in Farmouth, before we even left we had a place to stay for the night.
I will tell you if you are in need of a clean hotel in Farmouth, Mass., Red Horse Inn is the place. They were very accommodating to us and it was within walkng distance to the Ferry for Martha's Vineyard.
A huge thanks to Mike and Keith of Pier 37 for their help with our small journey! It kept us out of harms way.
After a day at Martha's we continued on eastward to Hyannis.
Got hooked up with the Marriot Courtyard in town. I purposely took that hotel because of the help I received from them in St Clair.
From there we ended up in Provincetown at the end of Cape Cod. Whoops!
I took photos while I was driving the truck and didn't bother to get out in the downtown area. A lot of Rainbow Flags were flying... Were proceeded to turn around and head back home with a short stop halfway off the Cape for a little beach time.
It was a great trip with great weather.
Now off to St Clair tomorrow!

My guess is, the 2007 Miami Show will feature these new designs.
Many of the boats are almost ready for paint, so there is a chance some may be out sooner, but I would bet that Mike would debut them at the Miami Show.
That's just me thinking.
I never asked when they would be hitting the water....
I already know the answer....
It's done when it gets done...
The Cat is sweet..................................!
But wait until you see what he has done with the Vee!
