Big Big News For Historic Race Boats
HORBA, The Historic Offshore Race Boat Association, has been invited to bring some historic offshore race boats to be shown at the Amelia Island Concours d' Elegance next March 2007.
Amelia Island has been one of the top Concours in the nation over the past 10 years, right up there with Pebble Beach. This invitation to HORBA, shows that the old offshore race boats are now being considered to be of the same potential quality and investment grade, that the older sports cars are.
We will be sharing the same space with the likes of historic race cars such as Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs and Corvettes. This will mark the first time that any major auto show has included offshore race boats in their display.

Charlie,
Great work positioning these boats as concours grade investments along side some very significant automobiles. Look forward to pics and hearing about the comments and interest.

Charlie:
Is this limited to offshore race boats only....or any kind of race boat? You'll get a lot more entrants if you open the field.
By the way one of our Conquest Cats (circa 1983) returned from Europe...and is being restored . We saw it at the race in Michigan.
Thanks to Race Girl for the photo.

Offshore only....we are looking for a few of the best to represent this form of boat racing, as it will be new to most of the spectators.
Anyone with a fomrer race boat that fits our criteria for Historic, please send me photos and backgroound info.
