Obviously people buy bigger boats for the smoother ride and comfort. Which was my whole point! I think the guy that runs 100mph in his 40+footer in poker runs would be chitting himself "going slow" in an 27' F1 boat running in 4-5 footers.

I just had a thought........ My first this year...

If you look at old threads back 3-4 years ago, I used to point out the inequities and flaws of the LLC....and was frequently outnumbered...by the very same people on the other side of this topic today....

1. You still owe me an apology on the LLC.

2. This continues to prove the mantra I live by...

"The majority of people are almost always wrong."(*)

Last post on the topic... If someone get's killed, at least I tried.

(*) For proof of the above look no further than popular TV shows and the politicians elected to Congress.

If someone dies racing a open cockpit boat it will definitely not be your fault Rich. It won't be mine either , unless it's me. Nobody is putting a gun to anybody's head and making them race anything. Racing is dangerous , any form. Open cockpit boats , slower speeds (70ish) is good racing. P Class guy's do it and some well over 100mph. With certain rule changes , safety issues and other areas addressed , I say The Factory Classes can become a popular class again. No axe to grind here.
