Panther, the boatpix guy is legit for pictures? They got some good shots of us during the Mohegan Sun Run (I think, they were above us for 5 minutes). Is the sending back the unwanted photo's etc, a pain in the azz, or pretty easy? Just want to know if it is worth it.

I've heard bad storys but never had any problems personally. Credit Cards are protected, that's why we can reverse charges and plus put a blemish on their vendors credit records which can lead to them being dropped all together. :eureka: |

The ride home was the best part anyway! I saw clear under Larry's boat and your boat a bunch of times. Larry said there was one time when we were rolling where said I must have been out of the water for at least 50-75 ft and we were flat and level. Boating the past couple weeks have been excellent. I only wish I had BMax's last year... |
Re: Need Chopper Pictures
I don't run Sterlings I run Mercs. I wouldn't take a chance with the detonation its not worth it. With all this fuel on board its just an excuse to run the boat one night after work anyway. And I can't stand waiting for the same people myself it drives me nuts sometimes I just leave em its not worth ruinnig my day.

"Fuel/Oil Recommendation FAQ's 377 SC, 525SC, 575 SCi, 600SC, 600 SCi, 800 SC, 850 SCi, 900 SC, and 1075 SCi US/CAN - 91 (R+M)/2 minimum octane unleaded regular or premium without alcohol, DO NOT USE Leaded Gasoline NON US/CAN - 98 RON minimum octane major brand of unleaded regular or premium without alcohol (Note 3) None Required Notes: - If gasoline with alcohol must be used, periodically inspect complete fuel system for leaks and do not store fuel in boat's fuel tank for long periods of time. - To increase valve life on all MerCruiser engines, the following recommendations should be considered: Use a propeller that allows engine to operate at or near the top of its maximum RPM range when at full throttle with a normal boat load. - Operation at 3/4 throttle setting or lower is recommended. - Refrain from prolonged operation at maximum (full throttle) RPM. - If unleaded gasoline is not available, use a major brand of leaded gasoline." Also, Mercury designs their computers to run on certain Octane ratings. The 500/525 used to run like crap on 93 cause they were designed to run best on regular. |

I only wish I had BMax's last year... I have no interest in running with him again and letting him eat into my boating time. Leave him at the dock a few times and he might just start being ready on time. And you wonder why I lost interest in the boat  Ride home was great but you ran away from larry. I hung back so at least he would have someone there. Crossing wasn't rough, hell I had a 70 year old in my boat otherwise you would have been embarrased. :D :D Amen on the B-max, there are a few other boats that could use them as well. I was telling Billy about them yesterday. |
Re: Need Chopper Pictures
Gary the issues with my boat were there when I bought it and amplified by certain mechanics just plain not doin their job. If its put together right you should never be afraid to use it period. Right now I'm just gettin tired of payin to have the same things fixed twice. I won't be letting anybody wrench on my boat when its a couple of hundred miles away from me. From now on its gettin fixed right in front of my eyes or by my hands.

70 yrs old, your dad has been out with you in some much bigger seas...and you blame my wife. :D I was wondering how long it would take for the excuse factory to start. Couldn't hang with the resin bucket in rough water, you even tried to Sand Bag me! :evilb: |
