Going to take a lot of power to move this Cig 70 mph.
(I figured that topic line would get you Cig owners lookin')

32fever,
Wait a couple years and buy a twin step Top Gun when they come down in price. It takes a lot less HP to go fast. They are running with the Fountains in F2 class. I wonder if their ride suffers with the steps? Nice looking boats with a huge price tag.
Did you see the post on the 38' Cig for auction?
Dan

My wife says we're not buying anything. I saw the one in auction, though, that's one nice boat, and a great price. (I am starting to work on the wife now, though, maybe in a couple more years I'll budge her. Starting high, though
I am also working on those pics Hope to have them up this week. I'll let ya know, then you'll know who we are this summer when you're on "this side". We'll try to make it to IL this year, too, maybe head to Racine, as well.

That particular boat is Hawk Power, its said to be 70+. What's great about the Fountain, typically you can buy 42's which are really more like 38's, with triples for less money in equivalant years that are much faster. I like Cigs, But in used, doller for doller, Fountain is a much better buy.

Fever- I have been in that boat's cabin, and you would need a micrometer to see the difference between it and the 42 F. The best part about the Cig is the Cigarette mirror in the V-berth, that's cool. I will say for those boat having the linear measurement they have, none of them have a cabin worth the ****: ie F, Cig, Apache.

32fever,
You need to introduce your wife to "Miss Cig". She will get your wife all psyched up about buying a bigger boat. She seems biased on those 38 Top Guns. Then you let your better half convince YOU, that you need a bigger boat. It’s much easier that way.
