Keep in mind limited production (24 boats a year) keeps the brand exclusive since you may not be able to buy a new one if production is sold out so you pay a premium for a used one. This happens frequently with Ferrari's etc. Used Enzo's are worth more than their new MSRP!

But Semper is speaking of production boats that are tougher to resell when several new boats are available to the buyers.
I would buy a new 38 TG unless there was a huge savings on a 2 year old one (like 40-50%) off new one. Boats like Fountains are tougher to sell since they have dealers in every state, some with new inventory that is 2-3 years old. I couldn't buy a used 2 year old 42 Lightning for 200K when I could buy a new 07 for a small percentage more. The dealers are killing each other to make Fountain deals happen.

Yeah, Fiore chews his food with his mouth open and Reggie leaves the toilet seat up and never replaces the tp after it runs out.

...So, you're saying Reggie is actually Regina and pees sitting down, eh!

Just kidding -- all in good fun, Reggie!

Yep, knew that...so a 38 TS-TG with 525's will run how fast? I'm hearing upper 80's? A 42 Fountain is around the same size water line of boat and with 525's they run an honest 82-84mph with 525's....so the Cig is faster?
thanks

If those are the #'s of a Fountain, then.... you're pretty quick there, Mikeeeee!

It's funny -- I would have guessed the Fountain to be at least 2-3 MPH faster?????? Now, my boat only does these speeds w/ a maximum of 100 gallons in the boat w/ 2 people in it. When she's full (200 gallons) I only get appx. 85-86 MPH (which is what we hit in Biscayne Bay last week).

There will be a boat in Destin next week sporting OSO Decals. See you there.

....would that be a "new" boat, by chance?

I've been warned by Cash and Beak that you're tricky like that!!!! So, I figured we needed some clarification on your previous statement!

I look forward to seeing it (again)!

Yeah Joe it seems to me the 38 Cig with 525's is faster than the 42 Fountain with 525's. I compare the 38 Cig and 42 Fountain because they are more close to the same hull length at the water line. I did not know that a newer 38 Cig could reach those speeds...AWESOME! Remeber the Fountain test sheet and published speeds are with under 50 gallons of fuel.
