WOW !!!! Lots of SMACK TALKIN' goin on around here. In a 24' Skater you've got to pick your battles wisely. I can guaretee you the right guy will embarass alot of people with a little 24' Skater with eggbeaters. I've been known to send more than a few big V's home pouting to mommy after I whip them in my 20 YEAR OLD boat with STOCK 200's, I am sure alot of OPBA members will attest to this.

I had a front row seat for the event. The guy pointed his finger at us and then out towards the lake several times,as to say "I want you,out there NOW."What are 5 people and 180 gallons of fuel to do?It's all in fun and that guy does have a fast boat,he was hauling ass when we went by him,TWICE!

this thread reminds me of the time we were running back from Monty's at sunset in a Gladiator driven by Phil. staggard 525's, 6 people on board. this little 24 Skater rolls up next to us and starts to get on it. I guess the racer in Philly came out. He layed it down and we go flyin' by the skater. I have a great pic of the skater behind us with the sun setting over Biscayne bay. we stopped and the guy in the skater knew Phil so they started talking. He asked how fast we were running.

Phil: "Around 90"

the guy in the skater: "This boat will run 95"

Phil: "Not tognight"

Found the pic....

Yea, I'd have to say that is my favorite Gladiator of all time. Just the way it was set up and the fine little touches Phil does. Very clean.

By the way Cash, you have a good eye to be able to pick the boat out by that little corner in the pic
