That would certainly be good for the hard-core fan- I'd be all for it.

The only problem is the sponsors would all disappear the minute their logos can't be seen from the docks.

What the sport really needs is a bunch of eccentric millionaires and dope smugglers with deep pockets.....

Oh, yeah- we tried that in the 80's.

I can't explain it but offshore racing is a tough sell. I had a bunch of my sons friends over last weekend- they're all into motorcycles and extreme sports (so, what's mor extreme than offshore racing?) I put in a couple DVD's and they were bored to tears. They were polite but it just didn't register with them.

Same here .. even some of my friends that have offshore type boats could care less ..its just an accesory/image for most of em .. Ive popped in some good dvd's even some of the old school stuff like the Apache challenge ..big air , boats stuffing and nothing.. I dont think it will ever compare to other motorsports .. too many negative factors
But I dig it :drink: :evilb: :evilb: :chimp:

Too few cameras . Too few camera angles. not enough footage to hold anyones attention. I get bored watching myself race so I can only imagine what others must think. Watch a car race and try and figure out how many cameras are on the course, on the cars, in the pits, on the helmets, on the suspension of the cars, and so on. Can you imagine what that many cameras would look like with Offshore?

to many egos running the show, they have ruined it for me not enough real racing. One boat should not make a class, it looks silly to see one boat race it self and win against know one and then be happy about the win
