269 cobalt condurre
Anyone familiar with the cobalt 269 condurre (1986-1987)? Is this a cut-down version of the carrera/cobalt 30? Also, did Carrera build the hulls for Cobalt and cobalt rig or did Cobalt buy mold and build complete? Anyone know?

Re: 269 cobalt condurre
Carrera built the molds, Cobalt laid up the hulls and rigged the boats. Remember Nordskog's Spruce Goose Race? From what I remember Cobalt (with Humberto in the boat) was leading until one of the Merc's let go. My wife actually sold Pack St. Claire's 30 Condurre to a fellow in Pa. We were the Cobalt dealer in Baltimore then. The boat had 440 Cyclones and a central vacuum system in the cabin. I did the sea trial for the buyer and still remember him taking a picture of his own face in some cold, sloppy Chesapeake Bay water. Great boats.
