We were just very happy that no one was seriously hurt and there was minimal damage to a very nice boat. It could have easily turned out much worse.

Still looking forward to the Shootout!

You are right there are too many cruisers. I do boat on weekends, but I don't take the Skater out often during the rough times. We use the square boat to run around when its rough.

Man, that is just a super dangerous way to have fun. What is it up with all these cats going over and they are not even at top speed? Driver error? What could have been done to avoid this accident?
thanks, Mike

wrong wake/place at the wrong time.....loto has some odd waters at times....washing machine effect with the high bluffs and many boats plus too many cruisers that make the big wake.........

Everything was drained, we filled the engines and drived full of Diesel. It is now home and is comming completely apart. I think that is pretty much it.
Just pointing out it sunk, which was not initally posted/known. First off, everyone wants to know that everyone involved was OK. Then, attention turns to the boat and no one wants to see any boat end up at the bottom. Good to hear both the boaters and the boat are in one piece.

I don't get it. Lower Manhattan has huge cargo ships, cruise ships, tug boats, ferry's, multiple cruisers, you name it, all runing at the same time back and forth. Add a stiff current for the rollers to get stuck in and solid bulkheads for the waves to bounce off of.... Stuff like this, althought you would think it should, doesn't happen too often.. We just slow the boat down.

Maybe the lake is different than the 300 yrd wide river?
