Your dad owned the Black Duck? Now that was an awesome boat! Recently watched an old video of it from a race on the east coast during the late 80"s I'd say.

Yes, he was original owner and ran it from 82-85. We then sold it to a good friend, Nicky Cutro who ran it as Boardwalk, E&B Marine and Pennzoil

These have always been the most intriguing boats to me. The Image/Shadow/Conquest/ChrisCat lineage (not to interested in the family tree after CC though) I'm sure it is on here somewhere but it would be nice to see the chronology laid out in a single post. Rich are the Big Seas dvd's still available? Would love to get a copy of "The Partnership That Changed The Game!" (or pretty much everything thats on the custom dvd's page)

Trying to decide between two boats for sale there is the shadow cat and I also found a 33 sport deck power play with triple 2.4 Merc's all on good running condition both boats are at the same price.

That Shadow cat has been for sale for years. Have you looked at it in person? Make Sure you get a survey.

I looked at this boat in 2014, and yes it is in need of a tremendous amount of work. It has been painted with white paint that resembles house paint which could be hiding many sins underneath. the top of the transom is missing, so the wood in the transom has been exposed to the elements for many years. The current owner talks the talk but could not answer my questions as too how much fuel it held or how fast it could go which leads me to believe he doesn't really know the boat. I passed on it and boat a good one in New York.
