Well, the time has come for me to move on friends. As most of you know, I formed a relationship with Sundance Marine here in So. FL. nearly 1 year ago. The plan was for me to grow Fountain marketshare here (with regard to sportboats). I'll just say that it's not what I expected and we seem to have differences in what I will call "business practices". But, hey, nothing ventured - nothing gained.

On to plan B. I will be expanding one of my other companies - Bartus Marine Group, Inc. I started this company in 1999 and it has done very well since it opened. It is a full service brokerage, sales and Finance & Insurance operation. My focus will be on the Finance and warranty side of the business at this point.

I am set up with several large banks on a direct basis - which means no other "middle men" which equals great rates! :). I also have access to great extended protection (warranty) programs for new and used boats.

Anyway, wish me luck and I hope I can be of assistance to all my old friends and any new members who can use my services.

Now....................what should my new screen name be?? Wish me luck!!

Don't get me wrong Brandon.....I'm not leavin OSO. I have made some of my best friends here. Just going to expand and diversify a little. I'm kind of looking forward to dealing with all manufacturers, not just Fountain.

I did it 13 years. I'm one of the "old timers" in the sales field. Most guys last less than 6 mo's. Can't tell you how many boats I've sold. Let's say i stopped counted when I thought it was between 700-1000. All kinds - from Hi-Performance to Yachts. Just time for a change. And, I see a major opportunity in this segment of the business.

Let someone else floorplan this stuff and deal with all the employee's etc.

So. Fla for a while. At least another year. I might start splitting my time between Jersey and Ft. Lauderdale. That would be the best of both worlds, but of course all plans will be influenced by whats best for business.
