What ever became of the Bertram hulls and molds? To bad they stopped making performance boats because they were extremely competitive back then!

I can remember back when I was in high school, [just barely]. I had an 18 Donzi and there was a guy on the lake with a 28 Bertram Baron. At the time, it was the most awesome boat I'd ever seen!

Check out the HORBA website.

Bertram only built about 16 of theose 38 competitions.

A few run, the rest are wasting away like many other racing hulls. :(

The old racing hulls just are not very functional, no cabins, etc.

Wow, I didn't know that boat was still around. God, i always thought that andd Copper kettle were the best looking Bertrams.

Kurt (alias Solo, or bravo on OSO) is restoring Needle Nose. He has a big job in front of him.

Does anyone have pics of the 28?? I owned a boat that was splashed from the 28, what a great rough water boat. Just took a lot of HP to get it moving!!
