Has Anyone Seen Tabs Installed Like This Before. I Don't Think They Would Be Very Effective.

I did that on my little 19 footer because at speed it is riding on about the last two feet of bottom.

Saw them mounted flat but in that far on a 26 Velocity many years ago. The boat had big power and once up in the pad the rest of the boat is out of the water.

Re: Trim Tabs

If you look closely, you can see the tabs are cut down considerably on the inner edge closest to the drive. I bet the drive swings both ways just fine...

...just like Craig. JC told me so.

Brand new sonic at the lauderdale boat show last year.
all I can figure is OOPS!

Re: Trim Tabs

The set-up in the first picture will make the boat think its longer, and will continue to influence the boat at high speed with only a small tab angle. If they were wide, they would lift out of the water at speed and you would over compensate with the angle. Than when you go to turn the fun will begin.

Sonic just hasn't cut the tabs yet. Probably just got it ready for the show in time.

My Bad, your right, I didn't look close enough. They cut the tabs on our pache, so I asumed Sonic was going to do the same.
