The video was really bad. Are talking about the boat with the wing? If so that was a Fabio Buzzi design. The wing was above the CG and provided lift.

That sounds like a great idea... why dont modern boats still do that?

I have to agree with Ron. Looks to be a Fabio Buzzi design. I liked the Mod U tunnels thant were in there. Outboard tunnels still do it for me. :D
