great job roger those stands are the chit for doing it right! for some reason enamel seems to hold up really well in salt water even though i would never use it on a car.

Roger, I kind of liked the color of the grean tape. Black would've been my second choice.

I just use that Wal-mart paint and a piece of cardboard. It all looks the same.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Payton; I know what you mean about the green tape, It's kind of a nice
touch. Hated to get paint on it.....

Just for the record, the stand that the upper sits on is bolted to the metal frame of the lower stand by a 9/16 bolt through the center. In the picture it looks like it might just be sitting on top of the plywood top, when in fact, it is very sturdy.
