I'm with Cuda, go for the Minx. fobes, here on the board had one and we put that boat thru hell and back. Unbelievable handling and ride in the rough fo a 20' boat. Many, many a day we would have probably died if we were in my Checkmate as opposed to the Donzi. All the boatingwe did was out of Boston, in the the ocean.

The 16 is an awesome little boat but the 18 will give a better ride in the chop with the same great lines as the 16. That 40th anniversary edition sounds like a good prospect.

I have an 18 and I love it. It's has great lines, nimble handling, and gives a decent ride in the chop. I run mine on Lake Michigan and it never gets squirly even when bouncing over 3 foot rollers and cruiser wakes coming from different directions. Have fun shopping!

Isn't that what the motion is for, driving around the MTI and cleaning it. I think you have a severe case of boatitis. Some day you will be sitting on a leather couch talking to someone you are paying way too much money about this disease. Anyhow, this one was on boat freaks. Big block power. Good luck with the search. Definitely sounds more fun than a dingy with 5 hp.

The Motion is without motors right now. I 'm putting the MTI motors in it after Key West and building some crazy motors for the MTI. The Donzi or zodiac will be for when the other 2 are broken.

Gino, just saw a beautiful blue and white one at Pier 57. Pretty sure it was for sale.

Donzi 16 is a neat little boat, emphasis on little. Depends on what you want to do do with it as to whether you will like it. Strongly suggest a test drive. You will either love it or hate it,no middle ground. I always liked them, but Karen refused to get back in one 18 is a much better choice IMHO.

Over the years, I've owned two 16's three 18's and a 22 Classic. I liked the 18' Classic the best. Just seemed to work really well for a small boat.
