what speed should be expected out of a 33 sportdeck with trip 300 promax's?????

There is a 1994 33 powerplay with triple 2.5 merc's in that classifieds that says a max speed of 90mph.......i would say mid 90's

I'd guess around 85mph. Drkwestern on here has a 33 Powerplay with outboards...were did he go?

A 33 with twin 300's went 74...so I would guess around 80

Triple 200's : 74 MPH
Triple 260's : 86-88 MPH (1 or 2 from the factory hit 90)
Triple 280's : 90+ probably more like 95MPH
Triple 300's : Don't Know My honest guess judging that on skaters and spectres the 300's are comparable to 280's by a couple MPH is mid to high 90's for a 33' PP. I have dreamed about finding out.

I have only seen one boat with triple 300's and it had bottom paint, owner said 80 MPH but bottom paint and setup are an unknown.

Those speeds seem high to me. 85 is probably realistic.
