I was slipped next to Nashville cats (briefly) at the Jax poker run and briefly met Bruce and Myra and Eddie, the engine man. This was my first Poker Run along with being around boats of this caliber along with the people that can afford these. They really surpised me upon first meeting on how friendly, down to earth and happy they were. While some others were griping about "parking spots", these fine folks were all smiles and happy to talk to a "little fish" like me. It only took a minute to figure out that they were a "one in a million"
I am very, very saddened about this.

I just don't fell any better this morning. I think this feeling in my gut will last a long time.
Mrs. P may have hit the nail on the head. Even when it is people we have never met, this board makes us all friends and we have lost some.
We have seen in the past, the membership here has an "us against the world" or "If we have to explain you wouldn't understand" attitude. We may need that now more than ever......

I never had the pleasure of meeting the victims of this tragedy but am shaken and saddend just the same. I can only imagine the grief that is being experienced by those who were close to them. This board serves many purposes and expressing grief, sharinging feelings and information at a time like this is probably one of the most important.
