Rob,
Pauls pier got a little messed up from the storm. And a bunch of debris on the beach from it. That sucks about the boat. |

Ernesto wasn't much fun up here in CT. It actually wasn't a direct blow from Ernesto, it was the pressure gradient between the tropical depression ernesto just west of us and a strong high just east of us.
Anyway, Greenwich CT is a mess! Big trees still litter the streets and power is still spotty. We didn't get power back till Monday afternoon. Our yacht club recorded gusts just over 60 and I hear there are alot of CT boats which are now out on Long Island or at the bottom of the sound. My son & I watched a 20ish Sea Ray break free at Todds Point. It didn't last 5 minutes before it was shredded all over the break water. Here are aome pics from Sunday's carnage cruise in Greenwich Harbor |

We got a 2ft. plus tide surge in my lagoon and it had me crapping in my pants as I thought it would float off the lift.

Re: Ernesto got a boat
It wouldn't have been so bad if we had been prepared....no one thought it would get like this.....
Luckily one of the marina employees put three more lines on the Sea Ray before we got down there and couldn't see the dock. We owe him HUGE!!! |

My shore house is on a lagoon in Toms River, NJ... the water rose approx 2-1/2' & the winds were trying to smash the boats against the padded pilings. It got so bad that I cast out the anchor on my Sea Ray & brothers ProLine so they were safe against the pounding winds & rising tide. My 21' Challenger was safe on its trailer beside the garage.
