Yes and no. Daytonas have a cut down pod the doesn't touch water once packin air.

As for cabin space :), don't go sitting up in a hurry. It gives you a headache. :eek:

Depends on where you live, where you boat, layup period, etc. In Florida, there is only one underwriter that will insure a cat - Markel. I have no other options, and believe me, I did my homework. Hopefully someone else will or has entered the market here in Florida.... if we have a mild Hurricane season, perhaps it will help.

Yup...the Nodic I posted a link to in the classifieds also has a radical modified pod. It works great as said in the quote above. Faster planing, hard cornering and zero pourposing. Once air is packed under the boat the pod is above the water.

Me? I'd go for an HTM.
Not sure they make a 27-28, but the 24 is HUGE! Deep cockpit, decent sized cabin, drop-down bolsters. Hugely responsive to bg power!
