Looking for an outboard motor 35 to 50 hp

Anyone have one they want to get rid of. I bought a 14 inflatable and need an engine. I need the type that has the control handle. I checked Ebay and class. but didn't find anything.

the hot set in my opinion is the tohatsu tldi 50 in a 15 in shaft,
thats what we run on all our super light tunnels,
if you want a wicked motor i have a modified 70 yam with custom lower, low water pick up, small shaft spline etc etc etc,

Sorry, I didn't see the post. The boat is only rated for a 40. It's a 14' Inflateable. Can I make the 70 work? :D

Gino,
jonas will have to answer that for sure, BUT I think the 70 yamaha doesn't have a "tiller" arm control on it. I take it, that you got my PM! :D

i wth a 40 i get mid 40's
50 i get high 40's low 50's
convenient fun stable fast ,,, the best

i would steer you away from the 18 the 13's are the way to go,,

Re: Looking for an outboard motor 35 to 50 hp

Sounds like an electric trolling motor would work for that, unless it's just to fast for ya :D :D

Are these ok in choppy water? Do you have a demo for sale? I may take one.

Jonas,

what sort of speeds does the 18ft run with the 120hp? I always wanted to but a console in one with a 90 on the back...

Lubejobs42,

They are so stable, they only way the go over is to run them into a 2-3metre (6-9ft) surf break, full noise with an onshore wind, then you may go over...

Excellent for cleaning your boat, as the have a perfectly flat floor and wash through transom, you couldn't go wrong with one

I used to race them, this is my old Gemini ZX1 in the Austraila VS NZ champs in 03, was a pretty rough race in the surf!

as you kknow with the airentrapment style hulls it awesome in the rough,
i run the snot out of mine the faster you go the better as it just barks the prop,,
