Re: Savannah,GA
The Marriott should be a great place to stay. A lot of history and neat restored old houses to see and visit. Lots of very nice bars and restaurants. Make sure you get off the water front and walk to the next street down where they are building the new underground garage. Make sure you do the ghost tour.
We were just there and stayed in the Mansion in Forsythe Park. Out of bustle of downtown but close enough to enjoy the activity. Very old, elegant, nicely restored and very reasonable. If we go back we will stay there again. www.mansiononforsythpark.com They have a great trolley system. You can get off at anytime and jump back on anytime. Great way to see the city and get the history. |

Marriot is great and the Westin (across the river) is EXCELLENT too.

Re: Savannah,GA
Be sure to check out the abandoned road course race track behind the Marriott. We spent many nights racing on that track.

The Westin is nice and it is on the river. We stayed there a few years ago during the APBA's.
