Sorry Audiofn...........

$60k has already been offered and declined.

HP-J 01-02-2002 03:20 PM

Something tells me they should have taken the $60K.

Jon, you buying an outerlimits!? ;) :D

I read in the article that they drained the motors changed the oil and ran the motors. And that the outer drives are fine but the middle drive is gonzo. It does say the boat got VERY wet in the role! That can hurt the resale value! :D :D

Are you talking about the Outerlimits or the 43 Black Thunder that rolled?

The Outerlimits never rolled. It sat for the last 3 yrs in a boat yard where all my work is done.

Dave: when was that offer declined? I bet if they had it now they would take it in a heart beat. Times are a changing and every day that thing sits on the lot it costs them more and more money. Eventually they will go way low but time will tell.

Said to have declined a couple of 75,000 offers. The boat is twins with #5s

KAAMA 01-02-2002 09:28 PM

Does it have the stepped/aireted hull?

If you've never shopped for an Outerlimits, don't underestimate the prices they bring. I just bought at 37 Stilleto. They cost almost twice what you'd pay for a Formula, Cigarette, Donzi, Scarab, etc. Go for a ride in one and you will see why. She is built like a brick ****house with nine stringers, etc. Every effort goes into engineering speed thru hull design, X-dimension, etc. If the boat is ready for engines and has good drives, it is may be worth around 70 as long as the rest of her is good.

Jon,

The boat was only repo'd a few weeks ago.

They declined $75k........recently

Long term on repo's I agree. My 37 Outerlimits was a repo..........Was $180k, then $150k, then $120k......then $100k

I went XMAS week.......it was the bank's 1yr anniv. with the boat and $82k took it.

I AM NOT questioning the quality of the boat at all. I wish I could own one. It is one of my favorites. I just question the abilty to move a project boat in this economy. If ya got the money you are going to buy new. If not you are going to need to get it REAL cheap to make it worth while. I thought that we had heard something about this boat a while back. I know it is not the 43 Thunder that was talked about. So if it has only been a week or so then I understand their holding out. I am sure in a little bit they will realize the market. Time will tell I guess :D :D
