Does anybody have any information on 95 37 stilleto in maryland. The motors have been removed and last I heard it was serviced by typhoon marine oh and the boat is from newport news virgina

DaveP 01-01-2002 04:46 PM

The boat needs everything except drives.

New Interior, New paint, New engines etc

activator27 01-01-2002 04:49 PM

I have not seen it in person yet but photos dont look to bad

NEVER ENUFF 01-01-2002 08:30 PM

KenP 01-01-2002 08:54 PM

activator27 01-01-2002 09:44 PM

bank looking for 85 grand pictures contact lab marine in maryland

BAJA WILL 01-02-2002 09:45 AM

85K and the boat needs everything, The bank can keep it.

Sean 01-02-2002 09:52 AM

yup...they must be smokin somethin...they can keep that one.

Audiofn 01-02-2002 10:00 AM

what they want and what they will take are two VERY different things. They were into a boat for 14,500 bucks that a budy of mine offered them 2000 bucks for they came back at them and said something like 7-8 grand and he said 2500 and they took it!!! So it all depends on how long they have been sitting in it. I bet ya a offer of 30-40 would take it!! :D :D

Jon

NEVER ENUFF 01-02-2002 11:02 AM

Activator27 do you know where in Md. Lab Marine is or a phone # ?

DaveP 01-02-2002 12:09 PM

Sorry Audiofn...........

$60k has already been offered and declined.

HP-J 01-02-2002 03:20 PM

Something tells me they should have taken the $60K.

thisistank 01-02-2002 05:23 PM

Jon, you buying an outerlimits!? ;) :D

I read in the article that they drained the motors changed the oil and ran the motors. And that the outer drives are fine but the middle drive is gonzo. It does say the boat got VERY wet in the role! That can hurt the resale value! :D :D

Are you talking about the Outerlimits or the 43 Black Thunder that rolled?

The Outerlimits never rolled. It sat for the last 3 yrs in a boat yard where all my work is done.

Audiofn 01-02-2002 08:49 PM

Dave: when was that offer declined? I bet if they had it now they would take it in a heart beat. Times are a changing and every day that thing sits on the lot it costs them more and more money. Eventually they will go way low but time will tell.

Jon

NEVER ENUFF 01-02-2002 09:03 PM

Said to have declined a couple of 75,000 offers. The boat is twins with #5s

KAAMA 01-02-2002 09:28 PM

Does it have the stepped/aireted hull?

Andy Buzz 01-02-2002 09:40 PM

If you've never shopped for an Outerlimits, don't underestimate the prices they bring. I just bought at 37 Stilleto. They cost almost twice what you'd pay for a Formula, Cigarette, Donzi, Scarab, etc. Go for a ride in one and you will see why. She is built like a brick ****house with nine stringers, etc. Every effort goes into engineering speed thru hull design, X-dimension, etc. If the boat is ready for engines and has good drives, it is may be worth around 70 as long as the rest of her is good.

DaveP 01-02-2002 11:23 PM

Jon,

The boat was only repo'd a few weeks ago.

They declined $75k........recently

Long term on repo's I agree. My 37 Outerlimits was a repo..........Was $180k, then $150k, then $120k......then $100k

I went XMAS week.......it was the bank's 1yr anniv. with the boat and $82k took it.

Audiofn 01-02-2002 11:31 PM

I AM NOT questioning the quality of the boat at all. I wish I could own one. It is one of my favorites. I just question the abilty to move a project boat in this economy. If ya got the money you are going to buy new. If not you are going to need to get it REAL cheap to make it worth while. I thought that we had heard something about this boat a while back. I know it is not the 43 Thunder that was talked about. So if it has only been a week or so then I understand their holding out. I am sure in a little bit they will realize the market. Time will tell I guess :D :D

thisistank 01-02-2002 11:38 PM

Dave, sorry, my bad. I was talking about the 43. Where are pics of this boat??
And what is the bid price up to on it?

Ok Dave if you still have your boat for sale i'll give you 83k, everyone has a right to make some money. :D :D :D Happy New Year To You .

DaveP 01-03-2002 07:16 AM

$84k and $20k in LACE MONEY $$$$$$$$ and not a penny less! :D :D :D

Hey Tank - the bank has it advertised as a FIRM $85k.

If someone buys it for $70k + $40k in work. It will be worth $130k - $140k approx.

KAAMA 01-03-2002 07:39 AM

Does the boat have a stepped hull and does it come with a trailer (make)????????

DaveP, I'm just curious to know in reference to purchasing your boat; in the begining when the bank first put it up for $180K did you make an offer at that time for $82K ? As the bank kept reducing the price, at what point did you make your offer? Or did you wait until the bank came down that far ($82k) before you bought?

sy goldberg 01-03-2002 08:11 AM

HEY BAJA BOB 38! I see you offered DAVE P $83,000 for his boat.I have a question for you.Who in his right mind is going to lend you $84,000?(THE EXTRA $1,000 IS FOR GAS MONEY).

DaveP 01-03-2002 08:59 AM

Kaama - I waited until th ebank sat on it for a year and the price was $100k. Then I offered $82k. My boat was in pristine condition compared to the one on repo now.

Biggus 01-03-2002 09:27 AM

A few years back I bought a Donzi 22 2+3 classic that was a bank owned repo. The boat had 19 hrs on it and was 6 mos. old. The orig loan was 38,000. The dealer that was brokering it wanted 29,000. I tried to negotiate with the dealer but he wouldn`t budge. I did some investigating to find the bank that owned it and offered them 11,000. They accepted 11,500 :D :D :D :D :D
Go get em! Kurt. :)

TomFTM 01-09-2002 05:32 PM

Rumor has it the boat was sold.

I think my Cigarette will be for sale soon. ;) Tom

Congrats! After alot of TLC......she'll be a great boat.

If you are thinking of having Outerlimits do any of the work......they now have a separate shop just for existing owners repairs/updates etc........

Good Luck!
