Starting a Boat Dealership?

I have been pondering pursuing an idea for I have had for some time now. I am 23 y/o and have been working for a local boat dealer since I was 16. I grew up boating on Lake Michigan and have been boating here in Colorado since 1991. I feel I have a pretty decent knowledge on how things works and have a great customer service history. I have been very passionate about performance boats since I was a little kid but have never really been able to pursue it.

I feel Colorado and the surrounding states are missing something, a performance boat dealer. One of the nation's largest Eliminator dealer's is in Sterling CO, but that is it for anything high performance. Boat sales were the largest this year then ever at the shop I currently work at. I truly feel the money is there, but there are no dealers, thus not many performance boats in this area. I am fairly certain boats in the 24-30 foot range would be prime for the area and style of boating. I am convinced this could be a sucess, however I am not sure how exactly to go about getting something like this started.

Does anyone have any advice or am I just nuts?

Kevin
