I was wrong on the hearing date.Sept 17 is the actual trial. We had another hearing this past Thurs, took about 4 hours. The judge did not grant Alabama Power the summary judgement their attorneys wanted, and that,we think is good news. The bad news is we have to raise more money to continue the fight. It is frustrating that we only got one boat builder to kick in(ya'll know who it was)No help at all from any other builders that build the banned boats. And only one dealer(besides us) kicked in a dime. The good guys that kicked in have kept us going, wish I could share how much we have spent, but I should not. We have to win,it will not stop here. See the new Seattle thread today about banning loud, fast boats up there. Our paypal account is still accepting donations to our legal fund .When the 5 of us filed the lawsuit we had no idea that Alabama Power Co would intervene and unleash their team of high powered lawyers thereby doubling our legal expenses. As I said in the beginning,if right pevails,we will win, cause we are right. But unfortunately,it takes money, and lots of it. If we can keep going and win, maybe Alabama can set a precedent for other groups to use to fight the bans that are sure to come up in other states. Thanks for the support.
