Haven't posted lately as there was nothing to add yet. Just got an email from our attorney's office that the judge knows Oct 1 is the date for the ban to go in effect so he said he would rule this week on our petition for a prelimenary injuction.Keep your fingers crossed. The judge seems to be a fair man,if he reads the depositions and testimony from both sides, surely he will see that we are right. Will post again when I know more. Robert

The reporter from the Daily Home newspaper that has helped us since day one has 2 stories ready for Sunday. Their website normally goes up about 10 PM. Haven't seen what he has written yet but we are only maybe 1/2 hour away. www.dailyhome.com

No, Boat US hasn't helped with any money,we are funding this with a grassroots effort mostly, except for an appreciated large donation from one of my boat builders and a couple of boat owners, it is largely donations from guys like you and me. We are almost out of money at this point but we will fund the fight from our own pockets if necessary. The 6 plaintiffs( myself included) will make up any shortfall as we signed a contract with our attorney to cover all costs. Too bad that we have virtually no donations from dealers and builders(except my main builder) when it affects so many of them.If anyone wants to kick in a dollar or 2 or 3,do PayPal,the account# is [email protected] .We will win, because we are right, and that is all that matters, the money to continue to fight will come, either from the grassroots efforts,or from the 6 of us.Alabama Power Company and a couple of land developers may have more money, but we are right, and right will prevail. Stay tuned. Robert

When you go to www.dailyhome.com, make sure you read both stories, the headline story and the one below under "news". 2 separate articles tell the whole story. Robert

I am really dissopointed at the manufacturers. They should be fighting
these types of laws with vengence! This type of legislation has a way
of snowballing once enacted. They have everything to loose if this
gets enforced. Where's Mercury ? Its amazing that the little guy
with his limited budget has to fight these battles alone when
almost all the boats banned probably has a Mercury engine in it.
