Ditto, watch a guy do it one year to make the length limit of the Catalina ski race with a saw zaw. At the time I could not belive what I was seeing.

A boat ramp charges different prices here over 30'. Most marinas charge by the foot for storage , cut off the beak , save some green for fuel? Ran it in to the dock? Does sound kinda weird.
