Gino, safe to say it will be fast. 200+ has it's own set of challenges that must be worked through before attempting to push these boats to the next level. JC can fill you in on those details. Scotty, and I are getting our arms around controlling a boat comfortably at these extreme speeds. Seat time, seat time, seat time. Boats become very light when really laying out....The Mystic should be more stable (longer running surface) than the Plat which rides very nice at high speeds. So we are really excited to get our hands on her.

The new boat will be capable of holding a considerable amount of fuel.

Next Years LOTO will be pretty serious with all the new hardware coming to the table.

M,
Just an idea, have you guys thought about rigging (2) T-55, L-11's @ 3700hp each, with (2) BPM's? Just seems like a simpler way to achive the same level of HP, alot less rigging complexity, less weight, and $$! That set-up is race proven, and one of the fastest on the planet!

We did, and it still is a possibility. The main purpose of this boat will be endurance record runs. With 4 engines, if we lose one, we can stop pull a couple of props and still run 150mph and finish the run. We also have the motors, tools, and dyno for the T53's. If we go T55's we have to rely on outsourceing for motors and repairs. We are also taking into account the difficulty in obtaining gear boxes for the T55's. We are going to Mystic Monday to sit down with John and talk about all options and we will make a final decision.

PS The fact that nobody has done a 4 turbine boat is also why we would like to do it
