Cats with a cuddy?

Trying to narrow down cats that offer a cabin.

Nor-Tech and Eliminator are two.

Which other cat manufacturers offer a place to sleep?

LMAO! :drink:

Seriously, after investigating insurance, I am forced to start with a smaller rig with small power, for at least one season. Because of the lack of experience.

Something like a 30 Daytona with HO's... But I do need a cabin.

Re: Cats with a cuddy?

AO 31 with the bed perpendicular to tunnel rather than inline with it is the nicer of the two layouts. Ocean Express 31 or better yet 33 have very sleepable cabins as well (extra beam ie. 9' and 10'3" verses 8'6" with the AO)

I believe HTM makes a 30 that has a good size cabin, have you checked the new awsome's? is the Tiger gone yet?

Re: Cats with a cuddy?

The nor-techs are great. I dont think youll save any money on ins going with 525's in one instead of big hp. Best be is to go self insured. I have one with 525's/ XR's I may be letting go if your interetested though. Ins quote was still 12k for FL. NT's also have a seperate head, plumbed in, which is nice.

Still running the Tiger, in fact heading out today. Lots of calls and requests for more pics... I'm really not in any rush, and it's a good thing because there are a ton of boats for sale. Definitely a buyers market.

Post a link for the HTM website. Thanks.

Re: Cats with a cuddy?

MTI builds a 42 and 44 in a walkaround cockpit version with a huge cuddy.
2 standup bolsters, 5 man rear bench, and 2 corner seats. Perpendicular king bed, standup head with closet, storage, etc., and a bench couch and double suspension recliners. Great setup.

Pier 57 has 2 of these (maybe 3) in their used inventory.

Awesome has a large cabin in the 33 and probably the largest cabin in a cat on the 40. They have been retooled and look very nice. They have a new facility and will be much more affordable than other cats.

I'm putting together a new 2007 30ft Liberator cat now. It's at PPI interiors in Sarasota getting the interior now. It has a good sized front cuddy and a 4ft8" x 8'8" rear area under the hatches that can be a rear cabin. Here's a link. http://www.offshoreonly.com/esvon/page-10827.html

Good suggestion Chris... Haven't found any with the mild power I need for insurance as an inexperienced operator.

Magic makes a 34 cat with a cuddy (I believe it's a Sceptor). There's one for sale right now -- preowned -- private party. go to www.riverracerx.com, go to "forums", go to classifieds.

Boat is fantastic, and runs like a top. Loaded up with all the good stuff.
