Lake George convoy from NYC area??
 

Our plans are to leave sometime on Friday. Would be cool to get a convoy going. Who else is heading up on Friday?

New motors are in the boat and ready for testing,I'm going out of Newburgh Thursday morning to test and tune.Can any one meet me to tow back in???? :eek: If all goes well then I'll be heading up to Lake George Fri. morning,maybe we can all meet up at the rest area just past the 84-87 intersection at 11:00 am??? Let me know.

I'm not too familiar with the Thruway, but that sounds like a good place. I would think around 12:00 would be a good time.

Anyone who arives early would have time to change their bearings! :D

Hell after all the pratice we have gone thru we could switch engines at the rest area in an hour.I am about 1 hour from the rest area,so 11 am I'll be stoping for coffee.I'll hang and wait for others till 11:30 or noon.I would like to be on the lake by 2 pm to beat the crowd.

We are aiming for 11:00 or 12:00.
Will be in contact on the cell to see how everyone else is doing and try to make the rest area.

Well, our plans have changed. I am not bringing the boat and we are leaving tonight. Seems like everyone has slightly diff. departure times making a hook up not feasable.

Wow, all you guys get to leave early. I have to work till 5:30. I'll be on the road at 6 and in Lake George at 10:30. I'm launching the boat around 8:30 am on Saturday.

I am launching at Million Dollar Beach right at the south end of Lake George. You have to back the trailer underneath a bridge though. I would think you would be OK with a 28 PP, but I can't guarantee it. Other people are going to be using Fishers Marina(I have no idea where that is).

OK, so much for leaving early for me.Broke in motors today and had a starter crap out on me.Now I have to finish install in the morning and then do all the little stuff I was supposed to do today.I'm still shooting for around noon or 1 pm at the rest area.Anybody passing by around that time call me on my cell and I'll hang and hook up.

Slandrew, Dunhams Bay Lodge is about 5 miles north of Lake George village on the east side of the lake, not to far. You would pass it on the way to Fishers marina.

i'll be on garden state parkway north bound entering at milemarker 80 in about 20 minutes...should hit NY in about 1hr 45 mins
