Hydro Hoist question
I'm buying a Hydro Hoist that is missing the control box (pump and valves). Does anyone know what kind of motor (blower) they use for inflate the tubes ?
I emailed hydro hoist and told them the situation. I asked for a quote on the complete box and another qoute on just the pump. They only quoted me on the box ( $1,028.44 ) and not the pump. I have a fiberglass dock box that I can use to house the pump and the valves....just really need a motor. |
Re: Hydro Hoist question
I believe the blower is like shop vac motor. If not a shop vac motor . one or two would work fine . my 12000 hoist has two blowers .

Re: Hydro Hoist question
Thanks for the help and links !!
I see those setups only have 2 vavles. most hydrohoist controls i have seen have 4 valves....1 for each quadrant. could this box be rigged using one valve for both back quadrants, and the other for both front? wonder how often you need to control each individual side when raising it ? |
Re: Hydro Hoist question
In my old hydrohoists I had 1 blower and 3 tubes and it worked OK, I would imagine it depends on how many logs you have on the HH. The way my HH always worked was a level lift so there was no real contro, over front to back lifting the tube just all got air and they cam eup.
in my new lift which is a fibersteel it has 2 "boxes" for the air and since my boat is well below the 14k capacity of the lift I do have to control the amount of air going to each "box" to keep the boat level. Not a very good explanination it is hard to do without pictures :D |

I have one w 4 valves, and I have to use the rear ones to control leaning , I may have overloaded it or may be blockage in lines or valves. I would get more opinions and don't buy one to small. |
