Engine hatch rams and hinges-which are best?

I've had it! I am so tired of hatch problems. I am taking off my hatches, sending them to the paint shop to fill all the holes and I'm starting over. The problem with these light weight hatches it they constantly move. They dont line up perfect so it rubs the paint off the hatch edge as well as the the the boat itself. The rams I use are stainless rams that cost about $250 each and they are constantly going bad. When my hatches are down, they bow up from the presure of the ram. When I open the hatch the ram dosen't hold. Which s the best system out there? Anyne have any photos of there hatch hinges and rams that actually work properly??

I don't know who makes this (presumably Cig), but it works flawlessly.
It uses standard Merc trim pump, etc. for operation.

I agree, great design. B Bracket is the company that built them for Cigarette. They are local to you Gino.

Bad news...went by B Bracket a couple weeks ago...they are closed. Neighbor said they closed for good. Hate that...they did projects for me and were reasonable.

Most hatches are raised with electric screw jacks like this

Gino, is yours hinged at the rear or on the gunnels (two hatches)? Post some pics. Plus it gives us an excuse to look at that beautiful craft again. :D :D
