I have a lot experience in both the 37 OL Stiletto and Quad and the 37 AT. The AT AVH is hands down a better rough water boat. The OL is a better performer in smoother water. The AT also is a non-liner boat unless you get the plush cabin liner. That is why you don’t see things coming loose or falling out and it lands solid. The only other boat I would put in the AT’s league in rough water with a step is the 38 TG TS. I think the AT is a slightly better ride and turns a ton safer.

Here is another good thing. There have been about 40 37 AT built since 1999. How many are for sale? 3! People must like them and want to keep them. Try to find a good used one with 500EFI or 525EFI for sale. Can not do it...

I have owned a 32 and currently own a 37, 2002 AT. I have ridden in all but the 25 and each one is a work of art. I put mine into anything and it does just fine. Mine was one of the first in the VA. area now who's know's how many are to be, but if you want an uncomprimising ride and one of the largest cabin's in the industry go with the AT!!!! The boat is bullet proof!!!!! Stable and very forgiving.

I had an opportunity to ride in a 03 37 OL (Stan's Boat) along side my 37 A.T. Radio Active both powered with 675KE. Something like this only happens once in a lifetime. My boat at that time was set up for more top end so getting on plane took appr. 2-3 more seconds vs the 37 OL. Top end was 9 mph faster though. I changed this later on to be a little more user friendly which dropped speed to 96, making it still 6mph quicker and appr. same planning time. Once running side by side hitting the same waves both boats performed flawlessly. The attitude was different on the A.T. in which it rode a little on the higher side but worked perfectly with the design and the larger single step. The OL was a little more nose down, nothing wrong, just different attitude when hitting the 2's and 3's that day. Both boats landed level every time, the A.T. seemed to be slightly smoother that day but Ive been in a 42 OL in 5-6's at 80 mph with Mike driving which felt better than my 37 A.T. I know it's a larger boat and not a fair comparison, but OL makes an extremely stout boat, but you do pay through the azz for it. To me it's all relative. Both great boats, one at 235k at the time vs 396k for the other. The OL laminate schedule and few other issues might have made the boat 10% better, but not 160K+ in my eyes. Both different, but similar boats, for different clientele. Radio Active is still seen in many poker runs through out the year. I would bet it has well over 500 hours on it, and I like seeing the pics of it flying in the air all the time. Thank god we have choices. Jeff


Someone mentioned something about a 38 TG. I owned I believe one of the the only 6 boats produced in 2000. Yes it was also a single step, BUT...what a poor design. The boat spun out 2 times on me at 45 mph. I traded the boat back in to the dealer and took a big hit. In 2001 the twin step TG came out and from what everyone states is an excellent hull. Stay away from the SS. Jeff

I'm not trying to stir the pot or anything but i talked to a previous AT owner about 2 years ago about ATs and he told me when he got his that he was running with Mike in OL with 900's and he's has 500efis Mike never got more than a boat length ahead of him in 4-5ers.That to me sounds like 2 great built boats.
Pat keep up the good work.I predict AT sales for 2007 will atleast triple from 2006.
