Bernie, the 32 Hustler I know the boat well and is well taken care of Greg has a family now and he doesn't have time for the boat, the engines and drives are almost new and came from Outerlimits, he replaced the 502s and drives the boat runs a true 90 mph

Whats up Doc. I know the boat as well. Exceptional boat but due to the age, and market is extremely high on price. Just like Hurzingers...RARE AIR. tried to buy that boat year and a 1/2 ago in the high $60's...a mutual friend of ours assisted me in determining a true value for the boat...at that time he wanted in the high $90's

Wazzup Bernie, is the Pantera that you are talking about the one that has the black cover in Brick, I saw it when I went up to race in Point Pleasant, it sure looked sweet. You will never go wrong with a 28 Pantera, good luck and keep it simple.

Call on the boats that are priced 15-20% higher than what your price range is and see if you can work a number. It doesn't hurt to make the call... If they get pissed then just move onto the next one..

You'd be surprised what kind of deal you can get when you find the right seller. :drink:

was out n about today for a few hours and lemme tell i cant remember ever seeing so many boats for sale. went and looked at RARE AIR, a 28 Pantera, a 2000 32 Fountain Fever(bank repo) and Tom A's 29 Kryptonite. i like the pantera "ALOT" but a well know racer/set-up person told me to STAY AWAY...boat is WAYYYY TO TAIL HEAVY and the nose will kite horribly, Rare Air (32 Hustler) is an awesome boat but way over priced IMO, Toms 20 Kryp is a sweet boat but unsure if i'll be happy with a single, and im gonna get in touch with the bank that owns the 32 and see what they're looking to get for the boat. the guys that told me to stay away from the Pantera, told me that based on what im looking at and for I NEED TO GO SEA TRIAL THE PHANTOM. they ran one this season and said it was the most well mannerd boat they'd ever driven...they are local engine builders and currently race a 32 Viper in P class as well as a 38 Fountain in SV...this is my favorite part of boating...THE HUNT CONTINUES !! i may shoot to MD sunday to check out the Phantom...thanks to all for your input and thoughts and keep'um coming

See that's the problem there are so many over priced boats on the market I think Mike Tyson said it best "its ludicrous". What gets me is a lot of these boats have high hours and no rebuild and are trying to get as much as they paid for it. :rolleyes: Guess that's why they stay for sale for years. the problem is people dont do enuff research and pay to much for them when they buy them. i bought my 98 30 spectre with 2003 300x's in 3/05 with 85hrs on her for $68,000...spent a couple grand in upgrades put 125 hrs on her and sold her for $65K...and i think at 65k is was a bargain. but the way the market is thats what she was worth. you would think that these guys that have had there boats for sale for over a year would cancel the add, re-evaluate, and price accordingly

I think some people don't understand boats depreciate. One of the problem's could be that the price they are asking is what they owe on the boat.
