Have a friend here at Lake Cumberland who bought one last year. I have not ridden in it. It is powered by twin Merc. 250 OB's. Just under 100. He has been happy with it. He ordered and it took much longer than expected. I think he would be happy to talk about it. Send me a pm and I will give you his number if you wish. He's not on the board. Eric

I've never rode in it, but I've had work done there, as have many others I know, before he started building his own cats.

Al Meinen and his team of experts are a true exception to many in the industry. Honest, fair and reliable. His word is Gold and he proudly stands behind everything he does. You'll never go wrong dealing with this fine company.

A real gem in this sea of turds.

I'd contact Bob Teague: He had high praise for the handing, turning ability and performance of this well designed lil' cat.

I have ridden in both, the I/O and Outboard version of this boat and was pleasantly surprised in each. Powerboat and Hot Boat were right on target with their evaluations - a quality boat with very good handling characteristics.
Elite Powerboats has done repair and modifications on many brands over the years. This experience has helped them to build a boat that is easy to drive - while avoiding some of the other builder's downfalls. The EC278 planes quickly, doesn't porpoise, and performs quite well with small motor packages.
If you have any doubts about Elite's quality, you can probably contact Randy Scism (MTI Powerboats) or Gary Stray(Super Cat Rigging) for their opinion. I know that Elite has done tooling projects for them in the past.

i've also ridden in both the i/o and the outboard. UNBELIEVABLE!!! the only cat that doesn't porpose at any speed.
