That's why I did it. Don't have to worry about the drives.

Everyone using Konrads, do you see a speed difference in the Bravo vs. Konrad?

Lightbulb Re: TRS Out......Konrad In !

Well after all of the that, there might be a clearnace issue with the U-Joints. Biggus called me last night and Konrad and told me that the drives they shipped me should have had the smaller U-Joints. If my motors are properly aligned there won't be an issue, but if they are not, there may be a rubbing problem. Konrad said they will make it right and send a represenative to my house and change out the U joints. Seems like they are going to stand by there product and make it right. I think Biggus will probably be coming out for the swap. I am just glad that it isn't the middle of the summer and boating in NYS is over. I just want to be right and ready to go. Big investment for me to have issues. I will keep you posted.

Great deals on ebay for my TRS Drives. PM me if you are interested. NO RESERVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cigrocket,
Like I've said before; Konrad is a stand up company with customer service second to none!

We had an issue with getting the wrong lower(OUR fault not Konrads) for a conversion we did and Konrad shipped a new one out ASAP without any charges. They just want it to be correct.

Will Merk or any of the other drive manufacturers do this?

You are correct. They are going to make it right. If my motor mounts are perfectly aligned and I can use the big U-Joint I will. If not, they are going to swap them out for me. No Charge. It's going to be a long winter. I can't wait to start Prop testing. I am still need to setup the tiebar situation

Call me and we can get it set up. Or I'll call Kurt and have him measure up when he's there.

I currently have my transoms off. I am really considering the konrads so should I just use the Konrad assemblies or just the mercs?

Konrad has priced the full conversion (including new transom assemblies & trim rams) very aggresively so that it really make sense to replace everything. Also the full conversion utilizes a much larger U-Joint configuration. When purchased as a complete system, you get an all new transom assembly including the heavy duty rams for only $1800.00 more.
It's not uncommon to see the old TRS transoms fetching $750-$1500 on ebay.

Feel free to contact me directly for more info.
