I amaze myself every day! Dingy problem!
I screw up everything I try to do myself.
I purchased a 14 ft. Inflatable boat. Very nice, aluminum floor, very heavy duty. I purchased a 25 hp Mercury outboard. I made 4 trips to boat US! 1st trip to boat US to buy a fuel tank and 2 cycle oil. 2nd trip to return gear oil bought by accident and again buy 2 cycle oil. 3rd trip buy the "correct" fuel line connector. Head home, put motor on boat. Put oil in fuel and put tank in boat. I go to lower the boat on the water from the davit on my dock. I don't realize I have the winch going up and not down, the lead ball on the end of the cable gets jammened into the pully and pops the cable. Back to boat US for a new cable. Get home, remove cable from winch, bandage cut on my hand from frayed cable. Lower boat in the water Get the engine started, pulled away from the dock, the boat did a straight up and down wheelie, I almost fell out of the boat, the motor stopped me. Tried again with me sitting further forward. Boat still did a wheelie and as soon as it planed off, it started cavatating very bad and stopped moving. I think I need a motor with a longer shaft. Any advice? (As to the motor!!) Do inflateables need long shaft motors? |

Post a pic of the motor hanging on the boat. Sound like you need to move the trim pin all the way down
